On Monday September 21st, WITNESS program director Sam Gregory will be participating in a panel titled “Death and the Social Web” hosted by Tow Center for Digital Journalism and the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma at Columbia University in New York City.
On September 14th, 2015 the WITNESS Media Lab hosted a panel on filming police abuse at Civic Hall in Manhattan with activists from the USA and Brazil. A livestream video of the event is now available.
WITNESS’ work has recently been featured in a number of Spanish-language press outlets including La Prensa (Mexico), RompevientoTV (Mexico) and La Prensa-El Diario (USA).
In July 2015, over 30 video practitioners from 17 different organizations met in Mexico for the second meeting of the Video for Change (V4C) Network.
This week, WITNESS will be participating in the second Video for Change Global Convening alongside members of the Video for Change Network and other video activists from 15 different countries and 5 continents.
